(.plt) Plot File Configuration Sheet
Use this sheet to configure AutoCAD 12/13 and AutoCAD 14 to make *.PLT files for Northeast Blueprint
* For best results in AutoCAD 2000 use a *.CAL file.
AutoCAD 12/13
- Run AutoCAD for Windows.
- From the drawing editor, type: CONFIG
- Select item 5, CONFIGURE PLOTTER, from the configuration menu.
- Select item 1, ADD A PLOTTER CONFIGURATION, from the plotter config menu.
- Available Plotter: choose 11, Hewlett Packard HP-GL-2 / devices,ADI 4.2 V 28
- Supported Models: Choose HP 750C
- Specify Port: Choose Parallel Port
- Enter parallel port name for plotter or for none <LPT1>: ENTER
Important Notes:
- If you are plotting EXTENTS, make sure that you perform a ZOOM EXTENTS prior to creating the .PLT file to ensure AutoCAD updates the extents.
- Failing to ensure that the Pen Numbers are equal to the Entity Colors will produce strange line thicknesses and will result in wasted chargeable output.
- Make sure plot to a file is selected.
- You should always do a Partial Preview in the Plot Window to verify the DWG size, and then do a Full Preview to verify the plot looks correct.
AutoCAD 14 *.plt config sheet
- Launch AutoCAD 14.
- At the Command Prompt, type CONFIG.
- Select New (to enter a new plotter configuration).
- Avalible print drivers: Choose Hewlett Packard HPGL/2 Devices - ADI 4.3 - for AutoDesk.
- Supported models: Choose HP Designjet 750c.
- Choose: Parallel Port
- Enter parallel port name for plotter or for none <LPT1>: ENTER
- "Write the plot to a file?"YES.
- Choose Defaults until you reach the end.
- Click OK to Save.
AutoCAD 2000 *.plt config sheet
- Launch AutoCAD 2000.
- From the File menu, select Plotter manager.
- Select Add a Plotter.
- Manufacturers: Choose Hewlett Packard
- Models: Choose Designjet 750C
- Choose a location: My Computer
- Choose: Plot to a file
- Choose a name for the plotter.
AutoCAD 2000 *.cal config sheet
- Launch AutoCAD 2000.
- From the File menu, select Plotter manager.
- Select Add a Plotter.
- Manufacturers: Choose Raster File Formats
- Models: Choose Dimensional CALS Type 1
- Choose a location: My Computer
- Choose: Plot to a file
- Choose a name for the plotter.
